Provide the interface with a resource, and it will calculate all the buildings and researches that require that resource. Indicate your progress on each of those buildings and researches that appear and taking into account any efficiency research you have done it will calculate how much more of the resource you need.

People find this useful for things like Territory Particles or Outlaw Research Credits, but you can put Parsteel in if you're up for a good cry.
